Damola Adamolekun is the Chief Executive Officer of Red Lobster, leading the iconic global restaurant brand’s strategic growth and recently being named one of Fortune’s 100 most powerful people in business. He previously served as CEO of P.F. Chang’s and as a Partner at Paulson & Co., with earlier roles at Garnett Station Partners, Goldman Sachs, and TPG Capital. His leadership has been featured in major outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Forbes, CNN, and Bloomberg. Mr. Adamolekun currently serves on the boards of P.F. Chang’s, Inday, and the National Restaurant Association, and has earned multiple GLOBEE Leadership Awards as well as recognition on Nation’s Restaurant News’ Power List. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

When Red Lobster was facing serious challenges, Damola Adamolekun stepped in as its youngest-ever CEO. His leadership helped turn the business around—hear directly from him about what that journey was like at CCW Las Vegas.
A: At scale, the central challenge is consistency—delivering a reliable, human experience across hundreds of locations. We’ve addressed this by simplifying standards, strengthening feedback loops, and investing in better real-time insight from both guests and employees.
These steps have helped us close gaps more quickly and respond with greater precision. While scale will always present complexity, focusing on clarity and continuous learning has made the challenge manageable and, in many ways, energizing.
A: We began by making hospitality clear, observable, and repeatable for frontline teams. That led to the launch of RED Carpet Hospitality, which provides simple behaviors that can be executed consistently across all restaurants.
The impact has been encouraging. Guest sentiment is trending positively, teams are showing greater ownership of the experience, and we’re seeing stronger alignment between service expectations and delivery. We view customer engagement as an ongoing commitment, but the early results validate the approach and give us confidence as we continue to build.
A: I’m looking forward to sharing practical lessons from our journey—what’s worked, what we’ve refined, and how disciplined execution creates momentum over time. Customer experience transformation is an ongoing process, and there’s tremendous value in learning from both progress and iteration.
My hope is that attendees leave with actionable frameworks and renewed confidence that meaningful improvement is possible when organizations stay focused, listen closely, and execute with consistency.

A: Stepping into Red Lobster has been both energizing and humbling. It’s a brand with deep emotional resonance, and that creates both responsibility and opportunity. From the outset, our guiding principle has been clarity and focus—simplifying what had become overly complex and helping the organization reconnect with what guests value most. We’ve made meaningful progress by stabilizing the business, rebuilding confidence internally, and sharpening execution. While there’s still work ahead, the momentum we’re seeing reinforces our belief that when a team has clear priorities and consistent standards, transformation is absolutely achievable.
