Dick Vitale
From the sidelines to the spotlight, Dick Vitale has been the voice—and heart—of college basketball for over four decades. A broadcasting icon, Vitale joined ESPN in its infancy in 1979 and has since called over 1,000 games with his signature enthusiasm, passion, and unforgettable flair.
Before the mic, Vitale made his mark courtside—coaching at every level from high school to the NBA. In 2008, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, cementing his legacy as not just a commentator but a contributor to the game’s growth.
Off the court, Vitale is a tireless philanthropist, serving on the board of The V Foundation for Cancer Research and raising millions for pediatric cancer initiatives. He’s also a bestselling author, award-winning speaker, and proud family man.
Whether he’s analyzing a game, raising funds for a cure, or inspiring future generations, Dick Vitale brings unmatched energy, heart, and impact to everything he does. Don’t miss his incredible story of resilience and success right on the CCW Nashville stage.
